Design and Technology at Highfield Humanities College

The photograph above shows Mr Harrison nervously climbing to the top of a ladder ready to drop 'egg baskets' designed to withstand a fall of several metres without breaking their contents.  This was part of our 'egg lander challenge' at Easter.

In 2004 Highfield's Design and Technology Suite was totally refurbished at a cost of over £160,000.  Our 4 D & T rooms are now bright, well equipped and suitable for the delivery of quality Design and Technology lessons in our four subject areas:

• Food Technology
• Graphic Design
• Resistant Materials
• Textiles

All rooms have Promethean Interactive Whiteboards with 'state of the art' sound and computer projection.

The Design & Technology Suit is modern, bright, engaging and full of displays showing the work of our talented pupils.
