German at Highfield Humanities College

German is taught in Key Stage 3, to pupils in high ability sets, as a second foreign language.

It is possible to take both German and French at GCSE in Key Stage 4.

During Years 10 and 11 a visits to a German Christmas Market is arranged for pupils to give them an opportunity to speak German in Germany!

In some years it has been possible to run 'out of hours' German classes for pupils keen to take GCSE but unable to fit German into their option choices.
