Health & Social Care at Highfield Humanities College

Health and Social Care is a BTEC First Diploma Course for pupils in Years 10 and 11.  This course is a major commitment for our pupils as it takes place over 5 hours per week.  Successful pupils will gain a Level 2 Award with equivalence to 4 full GCSEs.  The BTEC Course has a substantial coursework element.

Several 'out of school' enhancements take place as part of the course and these include visits to meet Health Professionals to discuss their work.

Highfield is a lead school in Blackpool for Health and Social Care.
