Key Stage 3 Science

At Highfield we follow the WIKID Science Scheme.

The scheme helps students become confident with 'How Science Works' skills. It raises students' achievement and understanding.

It fits the National Strategy Framework for teaching Science and best of all it is given the thumbs up by our students who when asked always say they enjoy Science.

Science is taught currently in 1 or 2 hour blocks and Years 7-9 have 3 hours teaching time per week.

In our new building Science will be found on the 2nd floor and we will have 7 new, well equipped labs as well as larger  areas for group work and discussion.
