 | Sun 17 Jun 2001 02:42:02 CEST Hello, I discovered your website by accident. I never knew it existed :-) By the way, you really should check www.google.com Certainly the best search engine I have seen (type in your postcode and see what you find). Anyway, that's not why I called, but how. I am in fact an 'old boy' from Highfield. I left in 1967, and my last class was called 5Y, a teacher called Mr Yates, and the Head at the time was Miss Bloomer. It seems a long time ago now. Well I suppose it was as I was 50 earlier this year. I would be keen to learn of other 'old boys' (we only had boys in 5Y) from the same class. I actually left Blackpool in 1972 (at the age of 21) and moved to Croydon in Surrey. I moved with my parents (my father changed his job), but my parents moved again about 10 years later. My father now lives in Torquay, my mother passed away about 10 years ago, and I am married with two sons (age 15 and 17) and we live in Coulsdon, Surrey. I work for Compaq Computer as a training consultant, and I am involved very much with computer hardware, software and the Internet etc. I have been in computers for almost 30 years now. Sorry to bore you with all this, but I was so surprised that a US search engine could find your web space. I have kept in touch with a couple of guys from my old class. They are Chris Mackay and Gary Eastman who are still local too you. In fact, Chris showed me some photos we took back in 67, and I scanned them last year. I have enclosed copies for your information. Anyway, sorry to bore you with all this. More information available on request :-) Regards Dave Mendes |

  | Tue 05 Jun 2001 03:50:12 CEST Does anyone remember Donna Gillespie? She would've left Highfield in '89. Had a brother called Craig. I grew up with her, and just wondered what she was up to, as we lost touch years ago. |
