Michelle Roberts	Tue 29 Nov 2005 15:07:44 CET Hi.   Wow the schools changed in 5 years!   I hope the teachers remember me, my form tutor was Mrs Howcroft and I left in 2000, thankfully with with some great G.C.S.E's.   Truth be told I had quite a tough time at Highfield, always seen as a 'geek' you name it I was called it. Being bullied was horrible and I almost left in year 10 but battled on!   Here I am now, a successful actor/singer/dancer who's been working professionally since completing drama school with a BTEC National Diploma in the Performing Arts. I've done theatre, tours, holiday centres and I've just finished my first feature film.   I'm really glad I didn't let the bullies get to me and here I am a professinal actor!   So if you're being bullied out there, don't let them grind you! Keep on working hard and it'll pay off when you're successful!   Best Wishes guys!!   XX

Keith Dredge	Mon 21 Nov 2005 05:24:45 CET I was at Highfield when it was a Secondary Modern School. My time at the school saw the end of an era - the retirement of the headteacher Miss Bloomer. She was definately of the old school, a disciplinarian who stood for no nonsense - a lady to be feared indeed! I wonder if anybody could help me? I havem at the ripe old age of 48 just graduated from Leeds University with a first calss degree in Hostory and Social Policy. Could anybody tell me where the redoubtable Miss Bloomer got her degree - its just that at my graduation the colour of the academic hood looked somewhat familier!
