Super Thursday Activity ClubsEvery Thursday, students will finish school at 1:40pm. Students can either leave school or have lunch. Any student remaining on the school premises after 2:10 pm will need to be enrolled in an extra-curricular club or activity. We are currently offering:
The cost of these Thursday afternoon activities is £1 per week which is payable a term in advance. The fee for this term is £14 which takes us up to the Christmas Holidays. Places for some clubs are limited and will be allocated on a ‘first come, first served’ basis. Application forms are available from student reception at the Greenhouse. Payment of the current fee must be submitted with the form. Fees are not refundable once paid. We will expect students to be committed to their chosen activity for the duration of the term. Please also remember that we have the ‘Earlybirds’ Breakfast Club available every morning from 7:30am in addition to the after school Café which is open every day after school until 6pm.
New School Day from September 2009Dear Parents/GuardiansRe: New arrangements for School Day from September 2009 I am writing to inform you about the outcomes of the consultation regarding the proposals for the new school day. I would like to thank all the parents who attended the three evenings and for their comments regarding the proposals. The outcome is that we will go ahead with the proposed arrangements. These are designed to take us up to the opening of the new school and will help manage the impact of building work during this time. The main aim is to ensure that pupils going through school have continuity in their learning and that we make the best use of their time in school. Having listened to the parental comments I would like to confirm two things:
The organisation of the school week is set out below and will commence September 2009 and take us through to the new build. We will, of course, continue to evaluate these arrangements especially over the next year. Once again, may I thank you for your support. Yours sincerely Mr I Evans, HeadteacherSchool Day and Week Arrangements as from September 2009
