May I welcome you to our parents' section of our web site. Parents and Teachers, "working together", so we can really make a positive impact into the education of the children in our care. Highfield Humanities College has a thriving PTFA. In addition to valuable fund raising, our PTFA supports school events, organises social outings and takes a full role in decision making with regard to uniform, changes to the school day and educational visits. Anyone wishing to be a part of our vibrant PTFA should contact Mrs Appleby on 01253 310925. Parents not able to take a full and active role in the PTFA are always welcome at our evening events and our church services at Easter and Christmas. We encourage Parents to attend review meetings in Years 10 and 11, Parents' evenings (all years) and key stage 4 courses (options) evening in Year 9. General Information for Parents: Access to documents Parents have access [via the school office] to the following documents:
Arrangements for the Consideration of Complaints The intention of a school-based complaints procedure is to offer parents and others a route to pursue any complaint about the curriculum and related matters. The basic pattern is: Stage 1: Informally resolve through Head of Department, Head of Faculty or Head of House Stage 2: Settling the complaint in a more formalised manner with the Headteacher or member of Leadership Group Stage 3: Formal referral to the Governors.
