Building School For the Future:
Highfield High School (Now Highfield Humanities College) was opened in 1933 and built to serve the largely rural community of Marton. Over the next 3-5 years the school is to be re-built under the "Building Schools for the Future" initiative. The new building will be designed by the current teaching and associate staff with a major input from past and present pupils as well as parents. The new building will not simply replace the old classrooms, it will re-look at learning itself and its design will reflect the latest breakthroughs in teaching methods. The aim is quite simply: to transform learning and make Highfield Humanities College a cutting edge school for many years to come. Anyone wishing to take part in the BSF Working Group should contact Linda Appleby (School Business Manager).
